Job Description SummaryAs part of the GE Aerospace Digital Workplace team, the Sr. Staff UX Research role will supporting Digital Workplaces services that are being provided to GE Aerospace end-users. They will be responsible for the strategy planning, execution and synthesis of the user experience for service enhancements and new service introductions across multiple workstreams.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Research Execution: Lead both short-term and long-term research activities aimed at supporting employee success initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain communication rhythms to share research outcomes with stakeholders, leadership, and teams.
  • Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance on research techniques to team members, fostering a culture of learning and development.
  • Innovation and Trends: Research and stay abreast of emerging trends in design, technology, and industry, advocating for innovative solutions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in years in roles involving complex product and services research, with a preference for experienced in Human Factors Research.

  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

  • Lean UX Methodology: Experience in integrating Lean principles into traditional UX Research processes.
  • Project Management: Skilled in translating ideas and concepts into actionable work items.
  • UX Research: Extensive experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research, with a deep understanding of Lean methodology and traditional UX processes.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in creating, interpreting, and managing usage analytics, and Voice of Customer solutions.
  • Tool Proficiency: Mastery in using research and data tools like Axure, InVision, ServiceNow, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Box.
  • Agile/Lean UX: Advanced knowledge and application of Agile/Lean UX methodologies.
  • Emerging Technologies: Ability to pilot new tools to increase throughput.

Business Acumen:

  • Relationship Management: Proven track record of successful stakeholder management in complex environments.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in breaking down ideas into actionable units of work and establishing relevant metrics for process improvement.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to apply diverse problem-solving methodologies to UX challenges.
  • Strategic Project Management: Competence in creating projects that yield tangible business benefits, including an understanding of business operations and strategic directions.
  • Systemic Thinking: Capability to comprehend complex systems and the interrelations within.

Leadership:

  • Leadership Communication: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership and manage project vision and requirements.
  • Problem Resolution: Proficient in using root cause analysis for problem-solving.
  • Team Facilitation: Skilled in leading team discussions, ensuring participation, and resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Active Listening: Demonstrated ability in listening actively and managing collaborative decision-making processes.

For Candidates in US:

  • The base pay range for this position is $127,900-$213,200. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 2/11/2024.
