Linux System Administrator

Ft. Belvoir, VA

Contract Position

$49.73-$54.73/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain enterprise-class Linux systems, including specialized operating systems and cross-domain solutions.
• Troubleshoot operating systems and associated hardware/software at the command level.
• Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and mitigate vulnerabilities as per DoD directives and Information Assurance guidelines.
• Re-image workstations, servers, and databases (physical and virtual).
• Manage and maintain cross-domain enterprise-level solutions.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a specialized field, or equivalent experience, with 2+ years of relevant work experience; or a Master’s degree.

• Clearance Requirements:

  • Active TS Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI

• Technical Expertise:

  • Red Hat Linux command line administration.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting OS-level and hardware/software-related issues.
  • Experience applying STIGs and resolving vulnerabilities identified through scans and DoD directives.
  • Familiarity with re-imaging processes for workstations, servers, and databases.
