Description
What you will be doing as a Fuel Cell Sealer :
In this role, you can expect to assemble and seal integral fuel cells with precision and care. Youll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced sealers , gaining valuable hands-on experience.
Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
Fuel Cell Preparation & Sealing : Perform various sealing operations on aircraft fuel cells, following standard procedures and instructions taught in Textron Aviations Fuel Cell Sealing Training course
Sheet Metal Assembly : Assemble wing fuel cells, including drilling, countersinking, fitting, trimming, and riveting, ensuring all parts are properly cleaned before sealing
Leak Testing : Test assembled wings by applying air and ammonia solution under pressure to check for leaks
Rework & Quality Assurance : Perform rework by removing old sealant, re-cleaning, and re-sealing to meet specifications and prevent leaks
Tool Utilization : Use various sheet metal hand and power tools, along with sealing tools like s patulas, scrapers, rollers, sealing guns, fairing tools, and durometers
What you need to be successful:
A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required
Ability to work in working conditions containing fumes, noise and working with sealants and solvents
Ability to complete the Textron Aviation Integral Fuel Cell Sealing Training course within your first 6 months is required
