We were meant to fly.As a Part 145 Certifying Staff member, you will issue the Certificate of Release to Service (CRS) following in-house maintenance of engines, accessories, and components. You will ensure that all maintenance tasks specified in the customer purchase order have been properly completed by the organization in accordance with applicable procedures and approved maintenance data, and you will confirm that there are no nonconformities that could compromise flight safety.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Follow the necessary courses in a timely and diligent manner in order to get and, successively, keep active the Q-CS (Quality Certifying Staff Certification) issued by Avio Aero Quality System

  • Knowledge of the EASA Rules for Continuing Airworthiness and interaction with main foreign certification agencies, for which GE Avio holds the certifications

  • Prepare the technical documentation package necessary for the release of the product and issuing the airworthiness certification in accordance with EASA part 145 regulation

  • Carry out all needed inspections, aimed at ensuring that all the operations required by the maintenance process of the component, module and accessory have been completed, correctly marked and recorded on the workshop documentation in compliance with customer requirement and applicable technical documentation

  • Support the investigation activities on engines, modules and components

  • Effective Root Cause & Corrective Actions – Escapes/Customer Returns

  • PFMEA Risk analysis

Qualification/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Aerospace is a plus

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation

  • Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions

  • Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously

  • Good organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization

  • Fluent Italian and good English knowledge

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of aeronautical maintenance technologies and aeronautical regulations

  • Experience in a design/manufacturing/quality role in industrial field.

  • Experience in Aviation Industry Maintenance Organizations

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with external Customers and internally in the Organization
