Description:You will be the Production Assembler - Structures for the team which is responsible for building structural assemblies such as ribs, bulkheads, doors, and other components.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Production Assembler - Structures, you will be responsible for loading, aligning, and clamping parts and sub-assemblies into jigs in established sequences using jig locators and coordinated pilot holes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drilling holes using drill plates, jig details, templates, or through pilot holes
- Trimming skins and parts using jig detail scribe bars or after reverse-scribing trim lines from adjacent skins
- Laying out fastener-hole pattern spacing and edge distance, trim lines, and location of components to standard and readily-maintained tolerances by direct measurement from known and available physical reference points
- Fabricating and installing shims, stiffeners, doublers, and other components as required
- Performing minor reforming of parts to correct contour or obtain proper fit

Who You Are
The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced production assembler with a strong knowledge of structural assembly and fabrication processes. You will have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to read and interpret assembly blueprints, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment, including drill plates, jig details, and templates.

Basic Qualifications:
Requires four to six months previous experience in structures assembly-type work/production experience.
Ability to read assembly blueprints in order to perform work described

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
