The Vice President Enterprise Data & Analytics will drive Qatar Airways data strategy, governance, and analytics initiatives. This position will oversee the enterprise data & analytics team, ensuring the effective collection, analysis, and utilization of data. The VP will play a pivotal role in providing business analytics to deliver sustainable profit by maximizing revenue and profit generation while minimizing costs and inefficiencies, including across all regions and subsidiaries, enhancing decision-making processes, improve operational efficiency, and optimize customer experience.
Key accountabilities:
Strategic -
u25AA Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise data analytics strategy aligned with the Qatar Airways Group vision, strategy and business objectives.
u25AA Oversee the formation of an Enterprise Data & Analytics team by leading a defined Steering Committee, and gradually onboarding different Data & Analytics units across the organization within the central Enterprise Data & Analytics.
u25AA Define long term business objectives, in alignment with department Heads/Executives, and KPIs for monitoring Enterprise Data & Analytics strategy success and continuous improvement.
u25AA Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize analytics use cases, enabling generation of ROI for the company.
u25AA Promote the use of predictive analytics to forecast trends and inform strategic planning.
u25AA Continue the transformation of the organization into a Data Driven Culture through self-service analytics, training and communication
u25AA Drive the adoption of modern data analytics tools and platforms.
u25AA Co-lead, together with central governance team, the establishment and maintaining data governance policies, standards, and practices across all functions of the group with the support of data stewards within each business unit.
u25AA Oversee the development and implementation of data management framework in alignment with overall engineering and architecture strategy.
u25AA Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and integrate relevant advancements into the airline’s analytics capabilities.
Operational -
u25AA Oversee the design and development of effective dashboards to stakeholders
u25AA Lead data transformation into actionable insights to support business growth and operational efficiency.
u25AA Ensure data availability, quality and integrity across all data assets.
u25AA Foster the implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and business intelligence solutions driving the business from descriptive analytics towards prescriptive analytics.
u25AA Support IT in delivering a scalable and efficient data architecture to support analytics initiatives.
u25AA Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
u25AA Manage business intelligence projects across the business relating to the delivery sustainable profit.

u25AA Understanding data analytics platforms such as SAS, R, Python, machine learning, Tableau, Power BI, and big data technologies.

u25AA Managerial skills: Ability to delegate, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinates and ability to foster teamwork
Academics:
Essential
u25AA Bachelor Degree with a minimum 10 years professional experience in the fields of Data & Analytics, Aviation Management, Travel & Tourism, Business Administration, Engineering, Physics, Finance or any other relevant field with substantial exposure to quantitative analysis.
Preferred
u25AA MBA or Master’s Degree.
u25AA Project Management Qualifications.
u25AA Experience in leading large Data & Analytics team.
u25AA Experience in a Management role within Airline Industry.
u25AA Experience in multi country responsibility and team leadership.
