You, as Senior EHS and Reach Manager will be the professional figure responsible for ensuring company compliance with the European REACH regulation EU 1907/2006 (REACH) and other regulations concerning the management of chemicals, such as regulation EU. 1272/2008 (CLP) and involves collaborating with cross-functional team.You will support Avio Aero EHS Central Team to integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business EHS strategy.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Coordinate all activities in accordance with the role that the company has with respect to the REACH obligations in terms of registration, evaluation, authorization, and restriction of chemicals and all the mandatory activities arising from the other related regulations.
Monitor regulatory changes interpreting the requirement:
Identifying the gaps, providing internal/external flow down and collaborating to assess their impact on internal processes and products,
defining with the cross-functional teams implementation plans and oversee their introduction.
Collaborate with site’s EHS to flow down REACH requirements to update risks assessment and IH monitoring plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote key initiatives to reduce the use of hazardous.
Ensure the correct management of new chemicals introduction process
Maintain the approved chemical list (ACL) and assure the update of the Safety Data Sheets (SDS), coordinating the site’s SDS experts.
Collaborate with the cross-functional team in defining requirements for the correct application of the REACH in orders and contracts.
Actively participate in working groups within Italian and European industrial associations.
Constitute the focal point for the competent Authorities, supplier and customer for REACH and related regulation.
Collaborate with EHS Teams to define, improve, communicate and monitor EHS programs requirements and expectations, ensuring compliance with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations and GE and Business Policies
Perform related duties in term of designing, drafting, issuing and updating documentation and procedures to pursue continuous improvement of the Avio Aero EHS management system.
Qualifications/Requirements
Technical Master’s degree from an accredited University
Strong experience as EHS Leader/RSPP in a complex industrial organization, with strong background in chemicals and special processes safety management
Ability to interface effectively with all levels within the company as well as Organizations outside GE (regulatory agencies)
Ability to lead process implementation in a team environment
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks
Strong interpersonal and influential skills
Solid experience in problem solving and flightdeck approach
Self-starter and proactive
IT skillset
Fluent in English and italian
Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is required
