Job Summary:
The Repair Station Shop Supervisor II leads and directs teams of direct labor shop employees in the Repair Station. The Repair Station Shop Supervisor is accountable for maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to quality standards and is responsible for meeting customer demand schedules within established cost goals. Plans, coordinates, trains and supervises shop labor
resources to achieve on time delivery of high quality, reliable repairs. Supervision encompasses more than one shift and includes employees with considerable variation of skills, and employees who are highly skilled within a specific area.
Essential Functions:
- Provide inputs (resource planning, overtime projections, productivity improvements) to management to develop monthly and annual budgets
- Assist Value Stream Manager with required monthly reporting to senior level management
- Estimate personnel needs and assign work to meet completion dates
- Plan shop OTJ certification requirements by product line based on sales plans and volume estimates. Schedule, coordinate, and track progress on the training required to certify the required number of personnel on each product line
- Lead daily Repair Cell walkthroughs and work with Lead Technicians and the Repair Cell members to ensure that 95 or more of orders are processed through shop statuses in 6 calendar days or less. Aggressively work to resolve any tooling, test equipment, training or personnel issues preventing the team from achieving this objective
- Review and understand daily key performance indicators to evaluate the status and gap to plan, and use this data to drive daily problem solving (8 Step, 5 Why, Cause and Effect, Fishbone) where required
- Take actions necessary to get day-to-day problems and conflicts resolved; analyze backlog reports, receipt trend reports, WIP cost trend data, CARs, Out of Tolerance Reports and shop KPIs and determine actions required to aggressively resolve any noted issues
- Serve as liaison to other groups and/or functional areas to resolve engineering, quality, personnel, technical documentation, reliability, compliance and/or material issues impacting the Repair Station
- Ensure that all product processed through the Repair Station is serviced, inspected and/or tested per customer specified, approved technical data
- Evaluate and recommend process improvements and changes in methods, equipment or procedures in assigned areas of responsibility. Implement improvements in workflow and methods. Foster and lead 5S and continuous improvement activity in the repair station
- Propose and support Capital Equipment Requests (CER’s) as necessary to support Repair Station operational requirements

- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
- Supervision encompasses more than one shift
- Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
- May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
- Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary
- Standing: 25 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
- Sitting: 75 *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task
- Lifting (in pounds): up to 40 pounds
- Pushing (in pounds): up to 40 pounds
- Mental/Visual: May require use of soldering equipment, microscopes/magnifying glasses
- Workspace (line, cube, etc.): Cubicle and frequent trips to the assembly cells

Salary Range: $118,000 - $150,000 USD Annual.
Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
