Manufacturing Supervisor:
The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees the daily production activities on the manufacturing floor, to include prioritizing and directing labor resources, development of daily and weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met, ownership of production control, and inventory/raw material management. They determine material, equipment and labor requirements, prepare status and performance reports and resolve capacity issues. They also identify demand levels for raw materials and other process consumables. The Production Foreperson will use enterprise resource planning (ERP) to develop an integrated and continuously updated view of core and interactive processes.
What you’ll be doing has a Manufacturing Supervisor:
- Directs and oversees manufacturing associates’ daily priorities of effort to ensure timely completion of production activities per production schedule.
- Develops a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed by to meet predicted completion date through resource allocation.
- Collaborates with production control on tasks, to include creation, issuance, tracking, and closure of work orders and other process documentation.
- Ensure the adherence to all programs and policies (FOD, Safety, 5S/housekeeping, Tool Control, etc.).
- Monitor production and raw material needs and establishes requisite pull-systems.
- Direct Shop Floor activity through Manufacturing Execution System.
- Assist in the training of new employees and provide regular feedback and reviews to ensure Associates are aware of their performance and to foster growth within their role.
- Establish and assist in maintenance of inventory and reorder points on consumables inventory and perform FOD and 5S audits monthly on designated areas throughout facility.
- Assist in Lean projects, factory flow development and act as liaison between production team and management to communicate updates, priorities, goals, and needs.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, attendance, and incidents and carry out disciplinary actions/ conversations when needed.
