Job Description SummaryThe Evendale Senior Site Security Leader will be responsible for the Physical Security, Fire Prevention, and Crisis Management programs which cover the GE Aerospace Evendale Headquarter site and associated off site office locations. This role will serve as the primary Evendale business focal point for all security matters at the location and will partner with the Aerospace Global Security Team on overall program strategies.

This position requires an experienced leader who is collaborative with strong business acumen. Additionally, the individual should have a detailed working knowledge of security regulations, technologies, practices, polices and their effective application. Strong knowledge in the areas of fire prevention, fire regulations and general techniques in crisis management are necessary. The successful candidate has leadership capabilities which include collaboration, problem solving, inclusive style, organized with the ability to work in a matrixed team environment. As part of general security and fire operations, GE Aerospace Evendale Fire Technicians are also responsible to emergency medical care using trained and certificated Paramedics.

The Evendale facility is VPP certified, a Title V EPA site, and is home to 6,000+ hourly and salary employees. The site is over 450 acres, with 9 miles of roadway, a Fitness Center, Wellness Center, Learning Centre and Welcome Center. The Evendale Site is GE Aerospace’s US headquarters housing offices for engineering, supply chain operations, engine services and support functions along with shop floor and industrial space for Engine Development and Assembly, Engine & Component Testing and Engine Manufacturing Operations.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Evendale site security, fire programs, emergency medical care and protecting GE Aerospace’s’ people, property, products, operations, and assets.
  • Manage GE Security Crisis Management policy and develop SCM processes to meet security requirements.
  • Work with GE Aerospace Global Security and Crisis team ensuring all local programs meet and exceed expectations.
  • Work with Evendale EHS team ensuring all processes, monitoring, and execution meet and exceed expectations.
  • Manage execution of Security and Fire operations
  • Lead a team of 3 Supervisors (Security Supervisor, Fire Supervisor, 2nd Shift Fire/Security Supervisor) who have direct oversight and responsibility for ~55 union hourly professionals.
  • Mentor and develop team members in areas of leadership, project management and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and review security measures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and policy.
  • Liaison and partnership with local fire and security agencies on audits, drills, and best practice sharing
  • Actively participate with industry working groups, meetings and events related to security programs.
  • Work with teams to develop and shape novel approaches to address security and fire risks throughout the facility.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university + Minimum of 5 years’ experience in security, fire, emergency medical care, crisis management. OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of professional experience in security, fire, or crisis management. Note: military and police experience are acceptable as qualifying experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.)
