Job PurposeJoin our Airport Services team, where you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless airport operations and delivering world-class service to our customers. The team is responsible for a wide range of critical functions, both "above and below the wing," to keep our busy airport running efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
As an EK Senior ULD Agent, you will coordinate the provisioning of Unit Load Devices (ULDs), including horse stalls and necessary accessories, for Emirates Airline at DXB and DWC stations. Ensure accurate recording of all ULD movements and accessory usage in the NOMAD system and any relevant databases. Facilitate ULD repairs with third-party service providers to maintain operational efficiency.
In this role, you will;
- Collaborate with dnata ULD Services and Skycargo Operations at both DXB and DWC to ensure the timely provision of sufficient serviceable ULDs to meet the daily operational needs of Emirates Airline. Maintain a contingency stock of all ULD types to support ad hoc requirements and optimize revenue for passenger and freighter flights.
- Ensure timely updates of the NOMAD system records for all ULD movements in DXB and DWC, maintaining accurate station stock records to facilitate further ULD planning. Resolve messaging errors in the NOMAD system to ensure real-time tracking of ULD stock for efficient balancing by Network ULD Planning Officers.
- Facilitate the prompt return of leased and foreign airline ULDs arriving at DXB and DWC by coordinating quick breakdown and stack buildup as planned by the ULD Officer.
- Manage the transfer and timely recovery of ULDs assigned to cargo agents at DXB and DWC, ensuring they are returned in serviceable condition. Document any damages and raise formal complaints for repair cost recovery.
- Conduct ramp rounds at DXB and DWC to oversee the handling and storage of Emirates ULDs, tracing any missing units. Report any malpractices to the appropriate sections to mitigate issues related to aircraft loading, safety, and ULD repair costs.
- Ensure that damaged ULDs are transferred to the workshop for repairs and track repair cost recovery for mishandled ULDs both at the hub and network stations. Maintain records and share them monthly with EKAS and EKSC Regional Managers for follow-up with ground service providers.
- Oversee horse stall requirements, including inspections, cleaning, and disinfection (C&D), securing the necessary C&D certifications, and ensuring timely availability of stalls at both DWC and DXB. Maintain stall serviceability to prevent injuries to valuable racehorses.
- Manage the provision of special-purpose ULDs and accessories (e.g., lashing belts, car kits, spider nets, valuable boxes, corner ropes, and net repair kits). Keep detailed usage records and oversee the recovery of overstock from stations. Coordinate the duty allocation of porters assigned to these activities to efficiently meet cargo operational needs.
QualificationTo be considered for this role, you must meet the below;
- 3+ Years in Airport Operations.Other
- 12 Years schooling or equivalent
- Must know ULD specifications and baggage handling.
- Must be familiar with basic aircraft safety/security practices
- Must have a valid UAE Driving license
