GE Aerospace’s Propulsion and Additive Technologies (P&AT) Contracts Organization has an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager supporting our Dowty Propellers business across both civil and military customers. In this role, you will own and influence key aspects of the end-to-end contract lifecycle – from proposal and negotiation through execution and change management – helping to shape how we deliver products and services to our global customer base.Youll play a critical role in developing commercial strategy, driving continuous improvement in our contracting processes, and managing complex production and services agreements. You will often operate in areas that are less defined in scope, applying your judgment, experience, and analytical skills to solve problems, mitigate risk, and achieve business objectives.As an integral member of a collaborative, high-performing team, you will provide sound business and contractual guidance to internal stakeholders, lead or support the development and negotiation of contracts, and help ensure that our commitments to customers are clear, executable, and aligned with GE Aerospace standards. This position offers the opportunity to build a deep understanding of the full contracting lifecycle for both Military and Commercial programs. Key Responsibilities
Legal and non-legal contracts expert across the entire contract lifecycle phases (proposal, pre and post contract award execution) including negotiations, commercial issue resolution, customer relationships, change management, and claims and disputes.
Act as a primary interface between Dowty / GE Aerospace and its customers on contractual matters.
Provide end to end contract administration for assigned proposals and contracts including leading negotiations, drafting and reviewing terms, and assisting with contract interpretation for internal stakeholders.
Partner closely with internal functional owners (including finance, program management, engineering, sales and legal) to ensure alignment on contract strategy, risk and execution.
Guide proposal team in analyzing solicitations, identifying commercial and compliance risks and recommending clear, actionable strategies and mitigations.
Effectively structure, prioritize, and organize work to deliver high‑quality outcomes, on time, across multiple stakeholders and initiatives.
Manage multiple complex contracts and competing priorities simultaneously, ensuring commitments are met and issues are identified and escalated proactively.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university or college and / or relevant experience in civil, government, and international contract formation and execution.
Domain expertise with Federal Acquisition Regulations, with emphasis in Parts 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and 15 Contracting by Negotiation, and DoD FAR Supplement advantageous.
