Configuration Manager

Job Description:

Responsible for consistent and effective Configuration Management tools and processes within Airbus Defence and Space AS, and to lead Configuration Management activities and deliveries within the various projects towards NATO and the nations.

The key responsibilities will include:

• Establishment and use of an updated Configuration Management System and associated processes to ensure effective and consistent Configuration Management of all documentation, projects and deliverables (hardware/software).
• Independent implementation of Configuration Management activities in national and international projects including deliverable systems and subsystems (hardware/software) throughout the entire product life cycle.
• Development of project-specific Configuration Management plans and procedures, and ensuring compliance with applicable processes and requirements during project execution.
• Definition and establishment of Configuration Management interfaces (internally and externally), including acting as the Point of Contact for subcontractors and/or customers regarding Configuration Management activities, requirements and change control.
• Maintain the integrity of products and design states through baselining and planning, as well as executing release boards and change control boards.
• Creation and validation of product deliverable configurations through To-Build / As-Built Baselines, as well as carrying out corresponding audits (e.g., Functional Configuration Audit (FCA)/Physical Configuration Audit (PCA)).
• Define, measure and report appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Configuration Management towards both line management and projects.
• Perform cost and resource planning for the Configuration Management aspects of proposed projects, to include development of work packages and other related material.
