We&39;re looking for a Commercial Pursuits Manager to join our team!

What you&39;ll do:

  • Participate in contract pursuit bid program development, develop complex financial models from base-level costing to final customer pricing;
  • Play a lead role in developing costing standards and financial modelling templates, coordinating information requirements to ensure accurate information capture within financial models;
  • Complete financial analytics for multiple cost and pricing scenarios;
  • Briefing cost and pricing information to peers and executives as part of proposal reviews.
  • Identify, quantify and communicate program risks, identify mitigations and assist in development of strategic alternatives;
  • Review operational financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with budgets and forecasts;
  • Increase productivity of program costing functions by developing standardized, automated applications; coordinating information requirements;
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge through close contact with internal program management and technical staff; attending educational workshops; reviewing industry publications;
  • Participate in review and development of contract terms and conditions;
  • Play a lead role in developing costing standards and financial modelling templates;
  • Occasional domestic and international travel as member of pursuit team;
  • Position will be required to work a mix of in office and from home;
  • Other duties as required.

What you have:

  • Professional accounting designation, MBA, degree in Business, Management, Engineering or other relevant education background; 
  • A minimum of 5 years’ financial modeling and contract management experience, including hands on and team-based projects; 
  • Experience working on or leading multi-disciplinary technical teams is an asset;
  • Prior experience with government contracting and program capture is an asset
  • Proven ability to work independently; 
  • A solid working knowledge of contract law and regulations; 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels within the organization; 
  • Effective time management skills with the drive to meet highly competitive targets and objectives within reduced timelines; 
  • Solid problem solving capabilities with the ability to think objectively in decision making and judgement; 
  • A high attention to detail in all aspects of contract management, as well as throughout the stages of development, negotiation and execution; 
  • A strong understanding of cost accounting principles with an interest in financial model generation; 
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS PowerPoint; MS Office, MS Teams and financial software applications. Advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred; 
  • Experience working with a large, multi-divisional company is preferred. 
  • Be suitable for International Trade in Armaments (ITAR) / Canadian Controlled Goods (CCG) clearance 
  • Must be eligible for security clearance to “Secret” level.
