Responsibilities:

• Repair and overhaul aircraft structures, including F-18 EF Trailing Edge Flap components.
• Perform structural modifications, repairs, and maintenance on aircraft components such as flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fuel systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical component malfunctions using airframe and power plant expertise.
• Interpret technical documentation, blueprints, and manufacturer manuals to perform accurate repairs and restorations.
• Utilize aircraft-specific tools and equipment, including torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes, and shears.
• Perform close-tolerance drilling, precision assembly, and part location tasks based on engineering drawings.
• Ensure compliance with aircraft log entries and maintenance records when required.
• Occasionally lead teams through complex structural repair tasks.
• Prioritize workload to meet project schedules.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

• Experience & Technical Skills:

  • Experience with aircraft structural modifications and repairs.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading for part location and structural assembly.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory related to aircraft systems.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (preferred).
