What You Will Do
- Keeps machinery and equipment in a state of good repair.
- Examines machinery and equipment for defects in operation. Dismantles, repairs or replaces defective parts
- Works from sketches or blueprints when building, repairing or installing machinery or equipment.
- Move, set, level and align machinery and equipment using precision instruments
- Operates lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and welders when building or repairing equipment.
- Performs a wide variety of carpentry work using carpenter tools. Make standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work and selects necessary materials.
- Paints walls, equipment, and other structural surfaces using brushes, rollers, spray cans and guns.
- Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
- Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities.
- Performs a variety of work to maintain machines, mechanical equipment, and the structure of our facilities in good condition.
- Duties may involve machine repair, carpentry, painting, welding, plumbing, and sheet metal work.
- Performs maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures.
- Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs facility mechanical components and electrical systems.
- Performs machine repair and general preventative maintenance on equipment in compliance with preventative maintenance programs.
- Provides support in the development and implementation of facility and equipment upgrades.
- Maintains all paperwork to document repair and preventative maintenance work completed.
- Complies with SOPs (standard operating procedures), internal requirements, manufacturers specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.
- Over 40 hours per week as scheduled to meet business needs.
- This is 2nd shift position Monday through Friday 3:30pm – 12:00am. Training will be the first 2-3 months Monday through Friday, 7am - 3:30pm. Once training is completed, the schedule will be Monday through Friday from 12PM-8PM for 1-2 months before fully transitioning to 2nd shift.
Working Environment
- Minimal travel required (<10)
- Willingness to work nonstandard hours
- Some Holiday hours may be required based on business need
- Working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a HS Diploma or GED and 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications We Prefer
- 2 years performing related work in a manufacturing environment
- Technical Degree in Mechanical Repair or similar strongly preferred
- Equipment Maintenance experience
- Repairing, Troubleshooting, or Installation experience
