LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Flightline A&P Mechanic for an opportunity in San Antonio, TX
JOB DESCRIPTION
Performs final component installation and systems operational functional testing
Troubleshoots pre-flight and post-flight functions for delivery
Inspect and document non-conformance on items with medium complexity.
Performs verification of flight component installation and operational functional testing of aircraft systems.
Verifies troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and documents faulty components.
Performs pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification prior to delivery.
Supports documentation of identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
Verifies the accuracy of work performed
Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery checks and aircraft maintenance checks in preparation for delivery.
Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives.
Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Must be able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends
3+ years Flightline experience with pre/post-flight, operational functional test of aircraft systems
3+ years of experience working with Velocity and other 787 production applications (REDARS, CMES)
Experience in a team environment
Velocity – a Boeing application/commercial software tool that helps manage quality processes, meet regulatory requirements, and bridge the gap between design and production. It's used to create a closed-loop product lifecycle management system.
REDARS (Reference Engineering Data Automated Retrieval System). Boeing parts info/drawings in digital form
CMES (Common Manufacturing Execution System) – Boeing database that contains installation plans, rework orders. Shop stamps, QA Inspection stamps are all entered here on installation plans that tie out to a customer plane
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
FAA Airframe & Power Plant license
3+ years of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk experience
3+ years of 787 Program Experience
2+ years of Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience
Proficient in REDARS, PSDS, and BAC specifications
Proficient in all forms of NCR (Non-Conformance Record) and EPD (Emergent Process Document) generation (NC/NCR/RGEN/PU/SAT/SRR/PU or RGEN Revision etc.)
Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
3+ year of flight line operations experience
