Job Description:

The Associate Aircraft Maintenance Technician functions as an FAA certified airframe and powerplant mechanic, performing FAA required inspections and repairs of all aircraft assigned to the School of Aviation & Transportation Technology.  Perform ancillary functions relative to the operation of the Purdue University aircraft fleet including: towing aircraft, ground deicing, aircraft cleaning, fueling, hangaring, and security. Assist in recordkeeping functions of aircraft maintenance, FAA regulations, aircraft service bulletins, service letter and manuals. Assist in maintenance of ground support equipment and physical facilities.

Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must have an FAA Aircraft Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant Ratings.
  • This position requires computer literacy with MS office products. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Experience requirements: Minimum 0 to 3 years for Associate position. Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
Salary Range: $40,000-$65,000
