As an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical solutions. Your strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies will ensure that the products developed under your leadership meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Brno location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the creation of innovative mechanical systems and components that enhance the performance and functionality of our products, ensuring they meet customer needs and industry standards. Products that the team mostly works on are electromechanical actuators for aircrafts. We support customers like Archer and Electra.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive the mechanical design process, from concept to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications.
- Design and develop complex mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.
- Support modification of prototypes in available laboratory
- Identify and develop test procedures and fixtures for mechanical systems and designs
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- 5 or more years of experience in mechanical design and development.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools, with experience in mechanical analysis and simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Proven experience with mechanical designs

- Proven track record of successful mechanical design projects.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
- Experience with product testing and validation.
- Experience in Aerospace industry
