As a Ramp Services Clerk, you play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of cargo for domestic and international flights. This position involves coordinating the movement of freight, managing documentation, and supporting ramp operations to facilitate timely aircraft departures and arrivals. The Ramp Services Clerk collaborates closely with ground crews, cargo handlers, and airline personnel to maintain compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment are essential for success in this role.

This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.

• Responsible for moving air cargo within designated warehouse.
• Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers.
• Build up cargo for outbound flights.
• Break down cargo from import flights.
• Facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from semitrucks.
• May operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift, aircraft pallets and pallet jacks.
• Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate when accepting or delivering cargo.
• Confirm Dangerous Goods (DG) have been checked within aircraft limits and Follow specific procedure for DG shipments when received, including when shipment is abandoned by consignee.
• Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids.

• HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday, Sunday), holidays, and days off.

**This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU), a labor union which requires joining the TWU and paying union dues.** 

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions as well as environmental conditions, i.e., jet engine fumes, vehicle emissions, dust, and jet engine noise.
• Ability to distinguish colors, red, green, and yellow.
