Test Technician

Contract Position

Responsibilities:
- Perform test, tune and troubleshoot of mid-range to highly complex military RF microwave hybrid assemblies.
- Testing units over temperature, during vibration and mechanical shock as well as putting units into burn-in ovens; testing is performed using state of the art standard, specialized, manual and automated test equipment to specifications outlined in specific module performance specifications and acceptance test procedures.
- Use of the computer is required to retrieve test procedures, assembly drawings and schematics as well as to input test yield data.
- Perform a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of specific production units.
- Use standard electronic assembly tools and materials.
- May perform modifications, rework and quality testing.
- Collaborate with RF Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to develop procedures and troubleshoot product to specifications.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Previous experience in the test, tune, and troubleshoot of RF Microwave Hybrid assemblies
- Familiarity with RF equipment: RF Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzers/Low Noise Analysis, Signal Analyzer, Oscilloscope, RF Power Meters, PNA Network Analyzers.
- Ability to work under a microscope as required to test, tune and troubleshoot RF microwave hybrid assemblies and utilize hand tools such as torque drivers, tweezers and other similar tools; Good dexterity, eye/hand coordination
- Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings; Good computer skills are required to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions as well as other job activities;
- Experience operating computer driven mechanical vibration equipment
- Experience soldering components in accordance with J-STD-001 to support the tuning process
- Experience with data analysis of RF Microwave test data
- Experience in writing test procedures and troubleshooting from schematics
- Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD controlled environment
- Weekend Shift Hours 12 hours/day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 5:00am to 5:30pm. 3x12 Weekend Shift
