Arconic is currently in search of Strategic Buyer to join our Procurement Team in Kawneer Cranberry.

Kawneer North America offers architectural aluminum building products and systems for the commercial construction industry. We provide customers with a comprehensive product portfolio that includes entrances, framing systems, windows and curtain wall systems. The Purchasing Agent uses technical skills and knowledge to do the following:
- The Strategic Buyer executes on relevant Procurement strategies and measures activities in close cooperation with the Procurement Manager.
- The overall goal is to achieve the best total cost position for all external spend of the Kawneer Cranberry plant, the lowest sourcing risks, best supplier performances and ensuring highest efficiency and effectiveness of the Procurement team.
- Executes on savings initiatives and initiates counter measures if necessary
- Communicates Supplier issues
- Participates in supplier meetings
- The Strategic Buyer will assist the Procurement Manager with all day to day planning and purchasing activities for a given range of goods and services. In addition to planning/purchasing, the strategic buyer will be asked to request quotes and source goods and services as needed, ad hoc, and/or upon department request. Other tasks include: On Time Delivery, PO Management, pricing updates, back end reporting, reconciliations, ad hoc projects, managing shared services, setting up suppliers, drafting contracts, safety prequalification submissions, supplier meetings on site and off site, supply/demand/revenue reporting, determine impact on price increases, negotiating with suppliers on pricing, root causing invoice disputes and receiving disputes, analyze spend data, communicate information to production control/operations/quality/engineering, and more
- Responsible for purchasing activities as directed by the Procurement Manager
- Responsible for projects as assigned by the Procurement Manager.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Engineering, Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain.
- Must be competent in purchasing software preferably Oracle and JD Edwards.
- Motivated self-starter, ability to problem solve autonomously.
- Must be proficient with Excel and be able to use pivot tables and V-lookups.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
