Job Title: Raw Material HandlerJob DescriptionThe Raw Material Handler is responsible for executing daily shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory activities. This role also assists with various aspects of production operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities- Operate sit-down forklifts and, if preferred, wide-load forklifts for shipping and receiving tasks.
- Follow all applicable standard procedures and safety protocols.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks in compliance with safety regulations.
- Unpack crates and boxes, inspect items for accuracy and damage, and document findings accordingly.
- Place receipts on-hold and coordinate with the appropriate plant or vendor if parts are incorrect, defective, or paperwork is incomplete.
- Accurately process transactions related to shipping, receiving, and bin transferring using the Jobscope system.
- Assist production operations as needed, including roll-forming skin panels.
- Maintain shipping and receiving files.
- Assist with the receipt and processing of customer returns.
Essential Skills- Experience in shipping and receiving activities.
- Ability to be trained in and acquire a Forklift License.
- Current valid drivers license with no major traffic violations in the past three years.
- Ability to be issued a security clearance for customer delivery sites.
- Proficiency in using Outlook; familiarity with AS400 is a plus.
- Physical strength and dexterity to perform various production and material handling tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret work order instructions and drawings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- More than one year of experience preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Capability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting or moving of items weighing 10-50 pounds.

Work EnvironmentWork hours are Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM in a non-climate-controlled environment. Tasks may involve cutting metals and can be dirty, with very hot conditions in the summer. Personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes and eye/ear protection, is required. The role may involve sitting or standing for extended periods.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, MO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.00/hr.
