Job Description:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in parts expediting or materiel functions.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize computer systems and associated equipment.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Expedite and resolve production related issues with upstream suppliers and downstream customers of assigned BU which include but are not limited to:
    1. Following up, extracting data from and verifying information on Parts Planning Tool (PPT) shortage report
    2. Following up Requests for Manufacturing Engineering Assistance (RMEAs), Quick Engineering Change Sheets (QECSs), Engineering Work Orders (EWOs), and other production data management references to ensure the aircraft schedule is supported.
  2. Coordinate support for internal BU performance by:
    1. Following up on cost reduction plans to the IMS in order to ensure timing and delivery of aircraft parts.
    2. Checking part status against recovery plans for BU IMS deviations.
    3. Making improvement recommendations regarding processes related to parts and tools.
  3. Oversee, monitor and support parts and tool processing performance within the BU in regards to:
    1. IMS
    2. Cost Reduction Plan.
    3. Internal BU Schedules
  4. Ensures cannibalization and credit & reissue activity is properly documented
  5. Oversight of BU tool room issues to include tracking, recalibration, tool replacement, and organization.
  6. Act as primary interface to all BU employees for the RFID portal activities.
  7. Apply and maintain RFID tag technology to ensure accountability of company issued tools.
  8. Act as mentor/trainer for lesser skilled personnel.
  9. Represent the BU through coordination efforts to resolve time/material/HMS issues impacting the completion cycle as directed by management.
  10. Transports high priority items to the appropriate shops.
