Job Title: Conventional MachinistJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Conventional Machinist to operate lathe and mill machines for the repair and overhaul of aircraft components. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work from drawings, sketches, and reverse engineering to achieve desired results while interacting effectively with shop personnel and engineering teams.
Responsibilities- Operate conventional lathe and mill machines for aircraft component repair and overhaul.
- Perform setup operations accurately and efficiently.
- Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to guide machining processes.
- Collaborate with shop personnel and engineering to ensure precise outcomes.
- Utilize equipment including mills, lathes, and grinders in daily tasks.
Essential Skills- Minimum of 5 years of experience in machining.
- Proficient in operating and setting up conventional machines.
- Ability to work from drawings, sketches, and reverse engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Strong manual machining skills.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Work EnvironmentThe position involves working in a repair and overhaul facility that primarily focuses on landing gear components. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, 2nd shift. The environment includes interaction with various technologies such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $36.00/hr.
