Job Description SummaryThe Edison Works team is focused on contemporizing today’s business processes with sustainable digital solutions, thus enabling strategic process transformation. This role is responsible for partnering with our Transformation & Digital Technology (DT) organizations to drive internal transformation of the GE Edison Works digital infrastructure.

In this role, you will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to execute the charter of leaning out, contemporizing, and implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and downstream connections into various other digital processes & tools. The role will engage with program management, government business systems, planning, purchasing, functional finance and partner with DT as well as other strategic transformation pillars.

Responsible for ERP and business process support including standardization, quality management, document management, methods creation and maintenance, process improvement and tools for the finance and controllership functions. Impacts the teams ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. The role will be critical in connecting the capabilities of the new ERP to the strategy of the business while also ensuring Government cost & business system alignment.

There is moderate autonomy within the role. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy for Edison Works Financial design including business segmentation, cost disclosure statement, G/L, D&S sub-ledger, Hyperion, Government rates and CMS design.
  • Identify imperatives and confirm priorities within each financial sub-process to maximize profitable growth while minimizing regulatory compliance risks
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key finance stakeholders across GE Aerospace and Edison Works including leaders from EW Finance, Controllership, Sales Ops, Contracts, Pricing, Billing, EW PMO, Govt Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Government audit, S&OP, Planning, and Projects.
  • Support Transformation Project Managers by ensuring all appropriate functions are represented in the Source to Pay and Order to Cash value stream teams
  • Ensure Edison Works revised Estimating cost management processes are consistent and compliant.
  • Ensure finance resources are in place to support conversion of data (Billing, Payables, Receivables, Contracts, etc...)
  • Use lean process improvement methodologies, expertise, and judgement to creatively address complicated and/or interdependent processes, develop execution plans and communicate benefits/risk
  • Responsible for project management related processes and support tools to support ERP development.
  • Developing expertise in own function and adjacent business process as linked through the ERP. Influences policy and ensures delivery within area of responsibility, linking with other parts of the organization.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry standards to apply a fit to standard solution.
  • Presents business or technical discipline solutions to leaders. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to act and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires significant experience in Finance & ERP Finance. Knowledge level is comparable to a Masters degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • For roles in USA - Masters degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Location is Greater Cincinnati Area ... In office requirement
