This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit (“Spirit Defense”). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space spanetplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.

Key Accountabilities:
- Sets up cost control system, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
- Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
- Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assists in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis
- Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled
- Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks
- Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government
- Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Math, or related field
- Experience in a Finance classification / position
- Level 1: 0-2+ years of related experience
- Level 2: 2-5+ years of related experience
- Level 3: 5-10+ years of related experience
- Level 4: 10+ years of related experience
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Successful candidates must be able to secure Program access approval
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Math, or related field
- Active DoD security clearance
- P&L management
- Cost pool management
- Strong experience with Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas)
- Experience using other Microsoft Office tools (including Word and PowerPoint)
- Experience in contractual EVMS reporting, working in Deltek software suite (COBRA, PM Compass, etc.)
- Understanding of SAP or similar ERP system

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as spanet and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: Level 1: $56,650 - $86,850 Level 2: $67,450 - $103,450 Level 3: $79,950 - $122,600 Level 4: $100,250 - $153,700
