Responsibilities:
You will assist engineers with prototyping, testing, and maintaining electronic and electro-mechanical systems in a dynamic R&D lab environment.
- Build, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
- Construct, modify, calibrate, and maintain equipment and devices based on schematics, drawings, and engineering instructions.
- Perform alignment and calibration checks on test equipment and systems.
- Assist in the preparation of compounds and chemical solutions for experimental use.
- Develop and fabricate basic tools, fixtures, and prototypes to support test and design efforts.
- Conduct and document experiments, following procedures defined by senior technical staff.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in implementing practical solutions.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Associate’s degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 1 year of relevant hands-on experience in electronics or electromechanical systems.
Proficient in electronic tools, test equipment, and basic fabrication techniques.
Ability to fabricate simple hardware and interpret technical drawings.
Familiarity with test instrumentation and diagnostic tools.
May require FCC First-Class license and/or Solder Repair Certification.
U.S. Government Security Clearance eligibility required; active clearance preferred.
On-site work required; travel not expected.
