As an Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell, you will design, implement, and manage complex systems, driving innovation, safety, and efficiency. Work on cutting-edge projects and shape future technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Mechanical systems and equipment integration and oversight
• Support system architecture trades
• Requirements Validation and Verification (understanding of the “V” method)
• Qualification Verification plan development and execution including formal qualification
• Project schedule and milestone development/management
• Project estimation estimating and budget preparation and analysis based on verification plan
• Risk/opportunity development and management
• Project execution and performance management
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
• 5 years of systems related engineering experience
• 2 years experience in a systems engineering or project engineering functions
• Direct experience and expertise in at least one part of the requirements based engineering (examples include: requirement validation, flow down, derivation/decomposition, verification planning, qualification planning, system or component testing)
• Ability to execute requirement based engineering tasks with minimal oversight
• Ability to drive small teams (1-3 subject matter experts) to execute larger requirements based engineering tasks
WE VALUE
• 5 years of systems and or project engineering experience in the aerospace industry
• Specific experience in any of the following is a major differentiator: environmental control systems, vapor cycle systems, air cycle systems, thermal management systems, fuel tank inserting systems, system architecture, turbomachines, heat transfer exchangers, power electronics, or controls
• Requirements management using DOORS or DOORS NG
• Model-Based Systems Engineering
• Create relevant action plans that bring value to our internal or external customers
• Some experience in electromechanical engineering, particularly thermal management systems
• Program Project management skills experience with particularly some experience familiarity with Earned Value Management and Integrated Master Schedules
• Test experience including developing test plans, writing test procedures, overseeing test execution, experience with acceptance test procedures, experience with DO- 160 and/or MIL-STD 810 environmental testing
• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
• Ability to lead small teams to execute requirements validation and verification activities
• Ability to convey complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience
• Excellent communication skills to all audiences
• Microsoft Office mastery
The annual base salary range for this position is $138,000.00 - $165,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
