Raytheon is seeking a well-qualified Senior Cyber Engineer-P3 to join the Cyber Security Engineering team for a dynamic, high-profile program located in Indianapolis, Indiana.  This role will support the operations and maintenance of custom solutions and Assessment & Authorization (A&A) activities. There are some specialized skillsets for this role: experience with assessing systems vulnerabilities and verifying system hardening and patching activities to ensure compliance with the most current applicable Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)/Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) and related checklists, performing and providing vulnerability assessment results and recommendations to the leadership and leading Cyber team to deliver multiple Accreditation packages to the USG. This position is an onsite position at Raytheon in Indianapolis, IN.

What You Will Do

  • Work with a team of talented engineers to develop new software and system technologies

  • Lead the software development process and security policies as a security engineer contributor to the design of software and system solutions

  • Lead the execution of tasks that support the development of software and systems engineering projects

  • Participate in the development and implementation of systems security solutions

  • Perform hands-on technical implementation of security solutions comprised of COTS & FOSS technology as well as custom-developed products

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

  • ​Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Experience with writing and interpreting computer code to support primary responsibilities

  • Experience with development and implementation in at least one of the following areas: Cybersecurity, Software, DevSecOPs

Qualifications We Prefer

  • GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent to fulfill Department of Defense (DoD) IAT Level II 8570 requirement

  • Experience working in a DevOps environment as a software developer or system administrator

  • Experience with automated test and CI/CD pipelines

  • Ability to configure and manage a DevOps pipeline

  • Experience applying cyber security and secure coding concepts to engineering projects

  • Experience working with geographically dispersed team members and customers effectively

  • Excellent analytical abilities, critical thinking and creative problem solving

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
