As a Senior Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be part of a team with the interest, aptitude, and experience associated with the design, development, integration, and qualification of Aerospace Actuation products leading Commercial and Defense programs within our Honeywell Control Systems product line. You will be a technical leader and primary decision maker for program cost, schedule, as well as technical issues. You will lead prioritization of work packages, design goals and objectives, and drive overall program performance throughout the development lifecycle.
You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and safety of our engineering operations by ensuring that projects are executed effectively and meet all technical and regulatory requirements.

- Cost account management skills in the SAP environment
- System and Component Requirements analysis and decomposition
- Control architecture and design
- Root cause and corrective action planning and execution
- Mechanical Systems validation & verification
- Customer technical interface
- Work with functional leaders to prioritize resources and implement project objectives
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
- Minimum of 6 years of Engineering experience with complex mechanical systems.
- Experience demonstrating strong leadership skills — specifically decision making, driving results, and bias for action.

- Mechanical/Actuation Systems design and/or component controller integration
- Physics based model development and system design
