Description
What you will be doing as a Facilities Technician
In this role, you can expect to keep our production equipment running smoothly through preventive maintenance and hands-on repairs. You’ll also manage facility operations and tackle fabrication or construction projects that support Able Aerospace Services. Your work ensures reliability and efficiency across our operations.
Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
System Installation & Upgrades: Dismantle, install, repair, and upgrade complete avionics systems using blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions
Troubleshooting & Environmental Control: Monitor and adjust lighting, temperature, and humidity in production areas, using FMS tools to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
Preventive Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and safety compliance, identifying current and future maintenance needs
Project Planning & Materials Management: Create parts lists for projects and coordinate with teams to ensure timely procurement and availability of required materials
Asset Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of building and equipment assets in eMaint (computer program) and provide performance reports through designated systems
Workflow Coordination & Time Management: Manage work orders efficiently to meet turnaround times, proactively communicate scheduling conflicts, and ensure customer commitments are met
Qualifications
What you need to be successful:
Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification
Minimum 5 years facilities related experience is required
Experience in at least two (2) of the following skillsets is needed:
o Electrical, including new installation and repairs
o Controls and instrumentation, including design and troubleshooting
o HVAC, including chillers and cooling tower operations
o Plumbing, including boiler operations and RO/DI water systems
o Welding, including MIG, TIG, GMAW and Oxygen/Acetylene brazing
o General Facilities, including framing, drywall, painting, furniture, door hardware, etc.
o Carpentry and Fabrication, including wood and metal structures
Commercial electrical experience is helpful
Possession of a valid Arizona Driver’s License is required
Working knowledge of environmental and safety regulations is helpful
Ability to navigate computers and Microsoft Office is helpful
HVAC license is helpful
