Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a project engineer. The Project Engineer will lead and coordinate initiatives across the Aeronautics business unit, overseeing software‑modernization efforts for more than 25 cross‑functional teams. Key responsibilities include monitoring team progress, maintaining an up‑to‑date scorecard that reflects performance against predefined criteria, and driving continuous improvement through targeted action plans. The role also entails managing Jira roadmaps, ensuring accurate data collection, and preparing clear, leadership‑ready presentations that showcase milestones, risks, and resource needs. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering expertise with excellent project‑management skills, the ability to synthesize complex technical information, and a proactive approach to fostering collaboration and delivering results on schedule.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with Project Management and/or Project Engineering (3+ years)
Experience with Microsoft Office products (MS Project, Excel, Word, PPT) (3+ years)
Desired Skills:
CAM experience
Basic knowledge of DevSecOps
Proven and demonstrated program management or project engineering leadership, organizational coordination, and communication skills
Self-starter requiring minimal supervision capable of clear communication through multiple levels of senior and executive leadership
Budget management skills
Experience developing, maintaining, and executing project plans
Strong communication skills, written and verbal
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
