Role Summary
* This position supports engineering activities related to resolving production discrepancies, developing corrective actions, and creating design solutions for nonconforming parts and systems on aircraft. The role involves working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to review data, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures throughout the product lifecycle. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* An ABET-accredited engineering degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering.
* The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15.
* A minimum of 10 years of related engineering experience.
* Previous client experience with current or previous Materials Review Board (MRB) responsibilities.
* A valid status as a U.S. Person under Export Control regulations. Preferred Skills
* You will have
* Knowledge of Boeing design principles as applicable to product lifecycle support.
* Experience assessing and resolving product and process issues.
* Experience performing root cause analysis and developing dispositions for nonconformances.
* Experience evaluating discrepancies involving electrical systems, functional testing, chemical and thermal processes, raw materials, parts, assemblies, and airplane installations.
* Experience coordinating corrective actions for chronic production errors.
* Experience reviewing or approving design revisions to improve production processes.
* The ability to participate in or support Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
* Experience supporting MRB activities for domestic or international suppliers.
* The ability to communicate professionally across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
* The ability to implement corrective action collaboratively across multiple functional groups. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Apply Boeing design principles to assess and resolve product and process issues throughout the product lifecycle.
* Analyze and perform root cause investigations for design nonconformances.
* Review engineering and production data to determine corrective actions for recurring production errors.
* Evaluate production discrepancies to determine repair solutions for structures, systems, electrical components, interiors, payloads, and other affected areas.
* Create design solutions addressing nonconforming parts, build errors, or design deviations discovered during production.
* Represent engineering on the MRB and respond to manufacturing or engineering inquiries.
* Ensure corrective actions are fully implemented across required functional groups.
* Review and audit MRB activities performed by suppliers.
* Design or approve revisions supporting improved production processes.
* Demonstrate innovative approaches to resolving production issues and improving process efficiency.
