Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $49.23-$54.23/Hour
Ability to Obtain and Maintain Secret Clearance
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Design printed circuit boards (PCBs) for undersea electronic systems, using Altium Designer as the primary tool.
Capture and manage documentation including schematics, bill of materials, ODB++ files, and 3D models.
Create and maintain footprint and schematic symbols using Altium IPC-compliant tools or Footprint Expert.
Support library management in Altium or Mentor Graphics (Xpedition).
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with IPC standards and CCA fabrication techniques.
Utilize tools like HyperLynx, DXDatabook, and BoardStation for layout and signal integrity.
Provide support to suppliers for design documentation clarifications.
Assist in schematic capture, prototyping, and circuit validation as needed.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
7+ years of experience in PCB design for electronics systems
4+ years of hands-on experience with Altium Designer
Familiarity with Altium Designer 27, IPC-compliant symbol/footprint creation, and library management
Experience with Mentor Graphics/Xpedition tools, including schematic capture and layout
Knowledge of CCA fabrication, IPC standards, and design for manufacturability
Experience with 3D modeling in SolidWorks, NX, or CREO
Ability to generate complete documentation packages for manufacturing, including ODB++ and 3D CAD files
Experience working with suppliers on technical documentation clarification
On-site availability in McLeansville, NC, 3+ days per week is strongly preferred
