As a Lead Engineer in Thermal Systems Design you will be responsible for developing thermal design of rotor/stator engine components. In this role you will have an opportunity to lead the development efforts in new technology projects for jet engines. You may also work on thermal design of other engine components (i.e.: combustor and heat exchangers) and testing hardware. In this role you will utilize your technical experience and expertise to identify problems, find solutions and demonstrate thermal design and analytical skills.

Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute the thermal design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles

  • Execute the projects, while managing program schedule and financial work scope to meet business needs

  • Prepare and present technical data on expert forums internally

  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

  • MSc/BSc in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science

  • Understanding of heat transfer and fluid mechanics

  • Confirmed experience in an engineering position

  • English
