Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define and document project objectives, requirements, and assumptions necessary to plan and execute capital projects focused on the modification or expansion of existing industrial processes.
  • Identify and pursue additional needed resources, and stakeholders beyond the operator/customer.
  • Manage project deliverables so they complete to forecasted plan.
  • Provide procurement support – procurement strategy, identification of suppliers, coordination of delivery, and storage of hardware/equipment.
  • Oversee installation and execution of assigned projects through continual engagement with engineering, operations, internal trades, and contractors.
  • Identify and manage project risks throughout project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate a regular rhythm of clear project communications with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Engage with plant operators, controls specialists, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process upsets.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college 

  • 5-10 years mechanical process design engineering experience 

Desired Characteristics:

  • 5-10 years experience as Process Engineer or Project Manager
  • BS/MS degree in engineering from an accredited university
