Role Summary-


The Junior Engineer - Lean is a member of the lean team dedicated to driving continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing principles at MMF Pune Responsibilities of the lean team involve applying the tools and concepts of Lean Mfg. to develop standardized work processes, conduct Kaizen (continuous improvement), and support improvement sustainability.

Responsibilities-

  • Comply with all EHS policies, hands on experience in heat map, SOD & ergo risk identification.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping
  • Assure that work meets expected quality standards. Understand CTQ?s
  • Perform daily inspection on all equipment prior to use,
  • Facilitate & able to conduct time study for different sets of operations.
  • Provide support to the Lean Leader while working as a team to analyze ideas from the shop floor to determine solutions that will improve problems with safety, productivity, inventory and quality.
  • Develop standard work by studying processes using lean manufacturing tools (process capacity sheet, standard worksheet, standard work- combination sheet).
  • Implement and influence changes throughout the shop floor.
  • Participate in all Lean kaizen events s as well as weekly kaizen events throughout the year.
  • Work with productions and teams to drive continuous improvement on key manufacturing metrics.
  • Coordinate with Technical Service team on kaizen projects.
  • Champion for Lean initiatives and goals throughout the plant.
  • Train other employees on standardizing work processes.
  • Design and create visual management mechanisms (signs, floor markings, production boards, etc.).
  • Design and build fixtures, racks, carts, jigs, workstations and tools.
  • Alter and repair production equipment to maximize up time, reduce changeover time and improve safety/ergonomics.
  • Perform other general duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Assist Lean Leader to identify Kaizen opportunities, scope objectives and participate on Kaizen teams

Qualifications-

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engg. with minimum experience of 3 years in manufacturing domain.
  • Prior experience with tools such as 5S-s, Kaizen events, Moonshine activities POKA-YOKE, KAN BAN,
