The Payload Launch Site Support Services (PLSSS) Program, within LM Space, provides launch processing support functions for our government customer. Key elements of the program scope include spacecraft launch preparations, spacecraft transportation operations, and processing facilities O&M. The primary operating location is Vandenberg SFB, CA, with support of other locations also required. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to perform a variety of Electrical Engineering design and operational tasks.

Summary of Key Duties for this position:
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers for electrical power infrastructure.
• Manage and engineer project activities and documentation in collaboration with internal, external, and customer engineering entities.
• Apply systems engineering principles to the operation and maintenance of facility systems.
• Collaborate with drafting to maintain baseline documentation and configuration for electrical systems.
• Provide technical guidance to electrical technicians and facility managers as required.
• Write and conduct work orders to document operation and maintenance of systems.
• Collaborate with Procurement to obtain materials and service in support of electrical system O&M.
• Assist controls engineering in controls infrastructure, building automation, and network operation activities.

As a member of the PLSSS team, you will be called upon to apply Electrical Engineering rigor to the design, maintenance, and operations of electrical power systems at various facilities at Vandenberg AFB. You will draw upon your knowledge of power distribution, power monitoring, lighting, back up generators, and uninterruptible power supplies to keep these facilities in top shape ready to support launch processing and mission activity. Your knowledge of fire alarm systems would be a plus. You will design power and control systems, manage the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems, write operating and maintenance procedures, and will be responsible for troubleshooting and verification testing.

You will work alongside the industry’s most talented mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers. The ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams is essential. A 9x80 work schedule is an option.

Basic Qualifications:
• Possess practical Electrical Engineering operations and maintenance experience within a commercial or industrial environment.
• Willing and able to support periodic travel, overtime, and alternate shifts.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Security clearance.
• Willingness to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification.
Desired Skills:
• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college, or equivalent experience and combined education.
• ACTIVE TS/SCI
• Operational experience with low voltage switchgear (480VAC and less), uninterruptible power supplies, backup/standby generators, power distribution units, lighting, DC energy storage, and data center electrical support.
• Operational experience with building automation systems, controls systems, controls system networks, PID programming, PLC programming, and control system operation and maintenance.
• Experience with third-party integration of assets, programming of MS/TP, Modbus, and BACnet networks, including network addressing schemes.
• Experience drafting common single-line diagrams and power plans.
• Experience in arc flash analysis whether via hand calculations or use of software such as SKM or Easypower.
• Experience writing technical test, checkout, operations, and maintenance procedures and work orders.
• Experience in presenting technical information to leadership, teammates, suppliers, vendors, and government customers.
• Experience with Maximo computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Experience with power quality analysis, infrared thermography (IR), motor circuit analysis, and motor signature analysis.
• CompTIA Security+ certification

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $94,500 - $178,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
