The Dallas Materials & Process Team centers on development of assembly methods, materials, and processes for current and next generation microwave and mmwave products, with a very heavy emphasis on cutting-edge automation and materials.
We are looking for an innovative individual to develop/support custom software tools used to streamline operations within our manufacturing environment. The applicant will work collaboratively with manufacturing/operations engineers to ensure the tools achieve the desired capabilities for data collection and analysis, machine IOT connectivity, automated data input, etc.

What You Will Do
Work closely with manufacturing/operations engineers to design and implement custom automation software solutions.
Manage existing software solutions and develop new tools for process data collection for the factory and Industry 4.0 digital integration engineering efforts.
Connect applicable automated equipment to our data collection network
Support factory operations for daily needs and deploy updates/bug fixes.
Generate improvement ideas for various projects and applications.
Qualifications You Must Have
Experience working within a team environment.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Self-motivated, proactive, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Software experience (examples include the following, but not all are required): C/.NET, LabView, C++, PowerShell, Java, Splunk, SQL Server, Python, VBA, JavaScript/HTML/CSS, Git Version Control, Arduino, Linux, JFrog Artifactory, web server management, etc.
I4.0/IOT experience (examples include the following, but not all are required): Ignition, Splunk, HTTP/API requests, PowerBI, Modbus/MQTT, etc.
Basic understanding of network configuration settings in Windows/Linux.
Able to work full time on-site at our McKinney, TX facility

Education & Experience
Bachelors of Science Degree required, Masters preferred (STEM) with a focus in Software, Computer, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Materials Science or other related field

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
