Description:  Act as the technical CCB for military engine and development platforms, partnering cross-functionally with PCB, Systems, and Supply Chain.  Provide input on the strategy for introducing changes and maintaining the configuration to be consistent with program goals.  Provide guidance to the program on CCM-1 as well as feedback and coaching to facilitate the smooth development and implementation of design changes.  Understand program imperatives and promote the timely execution of priority design changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that proposed changes are consistent with program priorities and maximize commonality across engine families as appropriate
  • Provide input on ways to streamline the design change process
  • Actively participate on the Product Control Board
  • Communicate design changes and their status to the customer.
  • Actively participate in Technical and Tollgate Reviews for CCB Discipline
  • Ensure that the product change process is followed for design changes
  • Develop and manage parts lists and multiple engine buildup lists
  • Validate substantiation for all design changes being introduced to the product
  • Accelerate the execution of design changes, authorize the launch of design changes where appropriately delegated
  • Be responsible for the product configuration and documentation to ensure compliance to GE and customer requirements
  • Assist in tracking and driving complex product design change through incorporation
  • Provide Configuration Control expertise to the platform.
  • Simplify processes by applying LEAN tools and participating in Kaizen events

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years in experience in aviation
  • Bachelors of Science in engineering or STEM related field from an accredited university or college

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
