POSITION: Aerospace Director Materials Solutions

LOCATION: Jupiter, FL Area

STATUS: Salary Exempt

Job Summary

Execute on the Materials Solutions strategy and manage the new Aerospace Aftermarket Business Unit as a member of PSM Executive Mgmt. Build a team of experienced managers, engineers, technicians, and support staff to develop a Material Solutions portfolio. Develop and secure a suitable supply chain to qualify and manufacture complex aerospace components, leveraging PSM IGT and Hanwha Aviation operations and facilities. Run the daily operations of the business unit to meet financial and operational objectives and metrics. Coordinate yearly R&D development program plans and investments including business case justifications, and develop an annual business plan with a rolling 5 to 10-year cycle. Support Business Development activities and work with MRO shops, customers, and partners to promote and sell the Material Solutions portfolio. Coordinate approach with Hanwha Aerospace and align with Hanwha strategic priorities.

Job Requirements:

 

 Education

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 15 years of applicable experience in the aerospace industry or related manufacturing/repair environment
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Material Science preferred

 

Skills/Experience

  • 15+ Years of Gas Turbine Design and Manufacturing experience in Aerospace or Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) for airfoils and combustor parts
  • 15+ Years proven experience of development/production implementation projects
  • 15+ Years proven Project Management Skills
  • 10+ Years experience working on cross-functional reporting teams with global exposure both internally and externally, also requiring communication skills at an advanced level
  • 5 Years minimum in charge of department/P&L with responsibility of both financial and operations deliverables
  • 10+ Years demonstrated Leadership
  • 10+ Years presentation skills & experience representing the company to customers, sales teams, etc. 
  • Ability to work in a professional, friendly, team environment.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Willing and able to travel as required
