What You Will Do:

**This is a 3rd Shift On-Site Position**

We are seeking a highly motivated, technically talented individual, who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic operations environment to support our CSMC Business Unit 360 Drum Rotors, Cases, and Special Processes as a 3rd Shift Cell Leader. In this role you will be proving direction to skilled bargaining unit employees, leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts guided by our Roadmap and Control Tower objectives. Additionally, you will lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system’s various elements. In conjunction to daily supervisor responsibilities, project management, effective communication and execution with support group members is critical to the department’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily shop floor supervisory responsibilities in BU 360, Cases, and Special Processes on 3rd shift.
  • Daily toolbox talks, tiered meeting, pitch walks, timesheet approvals, tracking and progression of production hardware according to delivery schedule and WIP position, and the tracking and movement of aged accruals (aged QN, aged WIP) to meet monthly business unit financial goals.
  • Establish daily job assignments and work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability, and other priorities/constraints.
  • Improve production throughput, employee productivity, and job efficiency through execution of Standard Production System (SPS).
  • Partner with support functions for real-time problem resolution on the manufacturing floor.
  • Provide direction to skilled CSMC bargaining unit employees to resolve issues related to manpower, machine, method, and material.
  • Lead employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead sustained improvements in safety, quality, production, material procurement, and cost reduction through the system’s various elements.
  • Provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements and changes
  • Work dedicatedly to address issues and engage the workforce in achieving cell goals.
  • Demonstrate a 100 dedication to Quality, Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Standard Production System (SPS).

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
  • Work schedule 3rd shift Sunday – Thursday, 11:30PM – 6:30AM.
  • U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft office applications and other systems.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong experience working with all levels of management and working in a union environment supervising and directing hourly employees.
  • Strong managerial and leadership experience with specialized knowledge or technical/operational practices and/or manufacturing shop environment experience.
  • Strong SAP user experience and working knowledge in various transactions.
  • Experience with continuous improvement principles (SPS, Lean Manufacturing, 8D, DIVE, RCCA, DMAIC…etc.)

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
