We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to support aircraft avionics system installations, software updates, and troubleshooting efforts. This role is ideal for someone hands-on who can confidently load and validate avionics software&x2014;particularly Garmin systems&x2014;and diagnose issues quickly to keep aircraft operational and on schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Load, configure, and update avionics software, with a strong focus on Garmin systems
Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of avionics systems post-installation or update
Diagnose and resolve system faults, ensuring proper system integration and performance
Support installation, modification, and repair of avionics components and wiring as needed
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
Document work performed in accordance with FAA and company standards
Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve complex avionics issues
Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards
Requirements Minimum 2+ years of avionics experience in aircraft maintenance or modification environments
Hands-on experience with Garmin avionics systems (software loading and troubleshooting required)
Experience with Collins Aerospace Fusion systems preferred
Ability to troubleshoot avionics systems independently with minimal supervision
Strong understanding of aircraft electrical systems and integration
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
A&P license is a plus, not required
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
