The role we are offering you:
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for labor relations for a manufacturing employee group of 500 employees and for aligning company objectives with those of employees and management in designated divisions. The HRBP handles the strategic partnerships of the sectors he supports, in addition to providing operational advice and support.
This position oversees the delivery of HR services, such as labor relations management, talent management, engagement, compensation and benefits, performance management and change management. Close integration within the business and HR support team will also be required. Are you ready to:
Be responsible for all labor relations for the manufacturing group (grievance committees, labor relations committees, advisory role in disciplinary management).
Be responsible for the interpretation and application of the collective agreement.
Participate in collective agreement negotiations.
Participate in the implementation of action plans, programs and HR projects to support the strategic objectives of the material engineering, global purchasing, operational excellence and global health and safety groups.
Act as human resources manager for employees, supervisors and department heads of the groups served.
Act as a business partner in the identification of workforce issues (skills development, retention and mobilization), the development and implementation of the actions required to address operational challenges and the development of leaders.
Coach managers in the management of their HR.
Advise managers in reviewing organizational structures.
Participate in the implementation of change management plans and exercise influence with the various partners within CAE.
Provide recommendations to encourage employee mobilization.
Advise department head management teams on HR programs, policies and procedures, compensation, training, employee relations, performance management and succession planning to ensure continuous improvement.
Participate in the transformation of the organization as part of various continuous improvement projects.
Deploy different corporate programs and initiatives within its client groups.
Our ideal candidate has:
Bachelors degree in human resources.
10 years of experience as a Human Resources business partner.
Experience in labor relations in a unionized production environment.
Experience in collective agreement negotiation (an asset).
Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing human resources environment.
Strong interest in design and manufacturing engineering operations.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrated ability to exercise professional and emotional maturity and judgment to approach sensitive situations with integrity, diplomacy, tact and standards high ethics.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written - French and English) combined with strong organizational and presentation skills.
The incumbent must have excellent problem-solving skills to act as an internal advisor and coach for the management team and employees with respect to all human resources issues.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and build and maintain relationships with customers at all levels of the business.
Mastery of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
