Job Title: Logistics SpecialistJob DescriptionAs an aviation logistics specialist, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring accurate and efficient management of materials receiving, shipping, data control, certification qualification filing, and processing parts ordering in compliance with the FAA Part 145 repair station manual and FAA regulations.
Responsibilities- Supply Management: Ensure the availability of parts, tools, and equipment for aircraft maintenance and operations.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate records of all supplies and equipment.
- Coordination: Work with other departments to ensure aircraft readiness for missions and maintenance.
- Procurement: Purchase necessary supplies and equipment.
- Storage: Manage storage facilities to keep supplies safe and organized.
- Transportation: Facilitate the movement of supplies and equipment.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions and movements.
Essential Skills- Logistics and supply chain management
- Data entry and order entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in shipping and receiving
- Customer service skills
- Ability to handle transportation and freight dispatch
- Experience with third-party logistics
- Knowledge of purchasing processes
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the aviation industry
- At least one year of experience in a rotorcraft organization in any capacity
- Basic knowledge of FAA Part 145 repair station operations
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
