The General Accountant is responsible for the operational and administrative management of the company’s accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, compliance with fiscal and civil regulations, and support during periodic financial closings.

• Recording of daily accounting transactions, including:

• accounts payable cycle
• strong ability in general ledger accounting
• solid management of payroll and personnel accounting

• Manage VAT compliance obligations (VAT register checks, VAT declaration, VAT communications (LIPE), stamp duties on electronic invoices)
• Virtual stamp duty management.
• Printing of mandatory accounting books
• Archive and maintain accounting documentation in compliance with applicable regulations
• Support internal and external auditors.
• Management of Intercompany accounts payables (liaising with foreign colleagues; posting invoices and related self-invoices)
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and monitor profit & loss accounts.
• Management of adjusting entries and support in the preparation of the statutory financial statements
• Involvement in the preparation of the notes to the statutory financial statement
• Managerial reporting: month end activities and periodic accounting booking and management.
• Collaborate with other company functions (purchasing office, logistics, management control).

•  2–5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in structured companies or professional accounting firms.

• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and Italian civil and fiscal regulations.
• Experience with accounting software (SAP preferably or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent English written and spoken

• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under deadlines and in team environments.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills able to independently identify, analyze, and resolve issues by driving investigations to completion.
